First Organizational Meeting for 2004

Our first meeting of the year was promptly called to order at 12noon this past Saturday, February 21, 2004 at our primary sponsor's - Bud Wolf Chevrolet main sales building. Over 29 IndipalaSS members showed up in force from all over the region to participate in this yearly tradition.

Among the things discussed was Andy Wolfs kind offer to renew his sponsorship of our club for 2004. Andy not only pledged his dealer's space to us but generously donated $400.00 for our yearly activities. Thanks Andy we could not have asked for a better sponsor!

Items discussed in our agenda included our upcoming involvement in this year's Bud Wolf's all GM Spring Fling car show scheduled for late April, the upcoming regional Fly Inn scheduled for mid-may, Super Chevy Shows in Indiana and Ohio, ISSCA's 2004 Nationals in late June, Impala Fest 2004 around Septem ber and the possibility of having a Drag Race day in Muncie sometime during the 2004 season.

Of great importance is the fact that we have two major activities coming up that will need all our members attention and participation.

First is our elections - Both the President's and the Secretary positions are up for election this time around and nominations are now open via phone, email or snail mail. IndipalaSS members in good standing are welcome to submitt nominations no later then the end of March by contacting any one of our officers. Please note that you can nominate yourself if you are interested in running for any of these positions or you can simply nominate someone you feel would do a good job for our great club.

Second, a call for volunteers has been issued for the upcoming Spring Fling car show. We need everyones help with several areas of this show including flyer distribution, car moving, ushers, registration, gophers, cleanup and so forth. This car show attracts some very nice cars and we need to be able to do a great job hosting it if we want to maintain this yearly tradition. Those wishing to volunteer their time should contact David Bass, Dodie Sheffield, Phillip Sheffield, Justin Kruer or Chino and let us know what you can do and when.

Upon completing our agenda for this meeting, IndipalaSS members were treated to a visit to Andy's very own Wolfsonian (formerly known as the toy room) where Andy has some real beauties on display (and I don't mean the wild bunch pictured here).
